Three super simple and inexpensive Quick Holiday Ornaments for Kids – with Dollar Tree Supplies is what we are doing today.
This tutorial is a compilation of a few simple projects to keep the kids busy in the next couple days. That kid anticipation for Christmas could make the countdown a little long for the patents. All supplies can be picked up at your local Dollar Tree making it extra budget friendly.
I love to create with my kids but as a stay at home mom it is also my escape. Sometimes, I have to remind myself to take the time to create with the kids. I am always happy when I do. We had fun making all of these.

Ok…..Let’s Create!
Supplies
To complete all three projects you will need to pick up bulb ornaments in your preferred size and shape, paints in choice colors, wooden ornaments, and fillers of choice. You will also need a paint brush and disposable cup. A skewer and scissors were also used for the gnome ornament.

Instructions
- Remove the top to the bulb and set aside.
- Add paint colors of choice to the bulb.
- Swirl.
- Place upside down in a disposable cup to drain.
- After it was dry enough that the design wouldn’t change I set it on it’s side so it could get more air to dry.
- Give it 24-48 hours to dry completely. Then add the top back on.

Random Fill Ornaments
Supplies List
- Bulb ornaments
- Fillers of choice – we used
- Bells
- Puff balls
- Cut Construction Paper
- Faux Snow
- Sequins
- Vase Filler
- Gnome Ornament
Instructions
- Remove the top to the bulb and set aside.
- Add fillers of choice to the bulb.
- For the gnome one I did I had to work to get him squished through the top. I then used a skewer to get him sitting right inside the bulb. Finally I cut off the hanger on his hat and added faux snow.
- The kids picked items that were easier to drop in and and just added what all they wanted in them.
- Then put the top back on.
- Hang and enjoy.
Ready for hanging.
